Students who sign up for Apple Music for the first time can get a free Beats Flex | Here's how
As part of the iPhone maker's Back-to-School deals in the US and UK, new subscribers to the Apple Music Student plan get a free pair of brand-new Beat Flex earphones.
The Student Plan for Apple Music
Apple Music quietly raised the prices of its cheaper Student plan in the US, the UK, and Canada on June 22. This new deal comes after that.
According to a news story from Apple Insider, the Student plan now costs $5.99 per month, which is one dollar more than it used to cost ($4.99).
But it's important to note that Apple didn't raise the prices of other plans, such as the standard and the family.
Apple Insider says that the Student plan will offer a cheaper subscription price to people in school, whether they are getting a bachelor's degree, a post-graduate degree, or taking other higher education courses.
In the US, Apple Music's standard plan costs about $10 per month, but the Student plan costs $5.99 per month, which is a discount.
Even though the second option is a lot cheaper than the first, students still have access to the same songs and streaming service features.
Free Beats Flex and the Apple Music Student Plan
But this time, Apple Music is giving free Beats Flex to new people who sign up for the Student plan.
A recent report from 9to5 Mac says that Apple's annual "Back to School" campaign is back, where students get a lot of discounts and free stuff.
The online news source points out that the company that makes the iPhone offers discounts on its products and services. For example, the MacBooks, iPads, and AirPods all get discounts.
Not only that, but Apple also has a gift card for back to school that goes up to $150.

But on top of these generous offers, Apple is also giving gifts to people who sign up for its music streaming service, which competes with Spotify.
Apple Music Student plan members who sign up for the first time will get a free pair of Beats Flex earphones.
But Apple has some rules to follow before giving away these brand-new Beats headphones.
How to Get Free Beats Flex:
In its report, 9to5 Mac says that the iPhone maker is only giving away these bad boys after users pay the first month's subscription fee. So, the free trial for the first month doesn't count.
So, if a user of the Student plan stops paying after the free trial, there are no more free Beats Flex.
